Larry Nims, Ph.D. In early 1990, Larry Nims, Ph.D. was the first psychologist trained in the Callahan Techniques (now TFT-Thought Field Therapy). He has been a pioneer in developing and refining his own BE SET FREE FAST programs since 1992 and has conducted training and seminars for professionals and laypersons in the U.S. and worldwide.  Larry is the recipient of the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology’s “Lifetime Achievement Award.” His BSFF books and DVDs are helping people to be set free in over 50 countries.

Dr. Nims received his Ph.D. in 1964 from Arizona State University. Since 1967, he provided clinical services through out-patient and in-patient psychotherapy. His clients represented a wide range of ages, ethnicities, races, and clinical issues. Dr. Nims also has extensive experience in clinical supervision, university teaching, public speaking, and consultations for business, churches, schools and hospitals.

Larry has two children and two grandchildren. He and his wife, Sari, have been married for thirty-seven years and have moved to Goodyear, Arizona where they are semi-retired and enjoying favorite recreational and social pursuits. In addition to some professional consulting, training, and writing, Larry especially enjoys BSFF personal and life coaching and training via telephone. He no longer has a clinical practice.

At 73 years young, Larry is having so much fun with BSFF that he’s not likely to retire fully anytime soon. He is very pleased that Don Elium, MA, MFT, has joined with him and assumed an increasingly major role as a BSFF trainer, developer, seminar leader and spokesman in advancing BSFF throughout the world.

Don Elium, MA MFT implemented Be Set Free Fast applications with clients and in his personal life throughout the past ten years after witnessing Dr. Nims’ first public presentation in 1998. In partnership with Larry Nims, Ph.D., Don helped create the first BSFF discussion list and produced the first eight-hour instructional BSFF DVD training set. Together Don and Larry developed the BSFF Advanced Training curriculum and presented the unique BSFF concepts to participants from around the world. Don is authorized to lead official Be Set Free Fast Advanced Training. As an an experienced speaker and workshop trainer, Don is a natural when it comes to engaging and experiential training in personal and professional settings.

Don is married, the father to two adult children, and the proud grandfather to one special grandson. He has worked with people suffering from post-traumatic stress and relationship issues for over 25 years as a psychotherapist in Walnut Creek, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). He is a Diplomat in Comprehensive Energy Psychology (DCEP) and a member of both the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He is an adjunct faculty member at JFK University in Pleasant Hill, CA, where he teaches Gender and Sexuality. 

He and his wife, Jeanne, are the authors of four best-selling books on parenting and relationship. Don is a popular, national keynote speaker and workshop leader. He has contributed to numerous newspapers, magazines, radio, and television programs on topics of personal growth and marriage and family relationships.

He is currently the trainer for all BSFF Advanced Training events and the moderator for the BSFF discussion groups.
